GitHub's monthly uptime since 2017, from its own status page.

Each line starts when its component appeared on the status page. Codespaces and Copilot are left out.
Read live from githubstatus.com when this tab opens. Days are UTC; today's numbers keep growing until it ends.
Each point is a month's uptime for a component as reported by githubstatus.com/uptime. The average is the plain mean of the components that existed that month, and its color marks the worst outage any of them had. The month in progress stays off the chart until it ends; Month to date shows it day by day, read straight from the status page when you open the tab.
Read the early years with care. Until December 2019 the status page posted incidents but mostly didn't count their downtime: no partial outages at all, and major outages only occasionally (none before November 2018). The near-100% line in the shaded area is what was recorded, not what happened, so the drop around the acquisition is mostly a change in bookkeeping. Months before a component was added to the status page come back as a filler 100% and are left blank here; that's also why the lines start at different times.
A scheduled job pulls the full history again at the start of each month, so the page stays current without anyone clicking through the status page.
